Town of Homer Garbage Pickup Policy
The Town of Homer utilizes Republic Services for residential and commercial garbage collection service. Republic Services has instituted a new policy in that they no longer employ back of truck garbage collection personnel, instead using only single driver, automated robotic arm collection vehicles. Therefore, there will no longer be any collection of trash that is outside the trash cans. Please break down any boxes or other bulky items, bag them, and place them inside the garbage cans. All trash inside the trash cans MUST be in a trash bag. If you need a second garbage can, you can obtain one for $15 monthly through the Town of Homer business office at Homer City Hall at 400 East Main Street in Homer. This is a Republic Services policy and not a Town of Homer policy. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
